Hailing from Liverpool, England, MARSHA AMBROSIUS first made her mark in 2002 as one half of the British soul duo FLOETRY. Their 2000 debut produced signature singles like “Say Yes” and “Getting Late,” as well as five Grammy nods.
Ambrosius’ debut solo record Late Nights and Early Mornings was an immediate No. 1 on the US Billboard R&B Albums chart, and No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 behind ADELE, and earned her another Grammy nomination.
Ambrosius has written hit songs for: Michael Jackson (“Butterflies,” which features Ambrosius on the backing tracks), Bilal, Alicia Keys, JoJo, Tyrese & Mya Harrison. She has actively collaborated with socially conscious, jazzy hip hop artists Mos Def, Common, Busta Rhymes, plus The Robert Glaspert Experiment.
Her other collaborations read like a Who’s Who of contemporary soul artists including: Jamie Foxx, T.I., Raven-Symone, Anthony Hamilton, Stevie Wonder, The Roots, Wale, Daley & Maxwell, among others.
