Buffalo Chamber Music Society | Frautschi, Nakamatsu, Manasse Trio
The Buffalo Chamber Music Society presents the Frautschi, Nakamatsu, Manasse Trio at Kleinhans Music Hall.
This concert will be something like a musical gathering of friends, with three accomplished instrumentalists taking turns in the spotlight. Jon Manasse, former principal clarinet of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, will play Debussy’s Rhapsody. The violinist Jennifer Frautschi, who has appeared as soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Chicago Symphony, will perform Ravel’s Tzigane. Accompanying both will be the pianist Jon Nakamatsu, gold medal winner of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, who will also play Chopin’s F minor Fantasy. The three will join forces for Bartók’s Contrasts and a suite from Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du soldat.
