Sarah Knutie is a disease ecologist who studies the effects of invasive parasites on Darwin’s finches in the Galápagos Islands, where she has worked since 2010. She is an associate professor at the University of Connecticut. She has a passion for teaching, especially when she can incorporate hands-on fieldwork, and she mentors an amazing group of female scientists.
