Keeping it Modern: The Community Campaign
Kleinhans Music Hall remains timeless, but after eight decades of use, its infrastructure is not.
Many of the background systems are original to the building or are long past their useable lifespan, regularly causing emergency breakdowns requiring costly repairs.
Several of the architectural aspects of our National Historic Landmark are beginning to show signs of wear and tear, and many of the backstage areas must be restored.
Keeping it Modern: The Community Campaign was therefore launched to preserve one of Buffalo’s most treasured cultural and architectural landmarks.
Campaign Projects:
With a goal of $18 million, we intend to repair many of the necessary infrastructure systems, restore the hall’s renowned architectural features, refresh backstage spaces for musicians and staff, and seed Kleinhans’ first-ever endowment fund to provide perpetual income for continued preservation and increased community programming.
