Distinguished pianist Michelle Alvarado performs Eric Starr’s Twelve Pieces for Solo Piano in the Mary Seaton Room, followed by a question and answer period with the composer and Ms. Alvarado.
Eric Starr is a third generation multi-instrumentalist and award-winning composer from Western New York who currently resides in the Hudson Valley. He has recently completed twelve unique pieces for solo piano culling from a variety of pianistic traditions: from French impressionism to contemporary jazz. A protégé of the great Pavlina Dokovska, Michelle Alvarado, is a sought-after concert pianist and accompanist based in New York City.
