Kleinhans Music Hall’s beloved annual fundraiser Rhythm and Brews returns on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 6:30 pm-9:00 pm in the Mary Seaton Room at the famed Buffalo venue.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Kleinhans Music Hall’s programming including the Global Grooves music series and the upkeep of this National Historic Landmark building.
Buffalocal will again bring together wide representation from the Western New York brewery scene for sampling of various local brews and ciders! We are pleased to welcome the following breweries to the event: Black Bird Cider, 42 North, Ellicotville Brewing Company, Southern Tier, Big Ditch, Hamburg Brewery, Resurgence Brewery, Steelbound Brewery, Community Beer Works, Thin Man Brewery, 1911 Cider.
In addition to selections from local breweries, patrons will be able to taste high-end cuisine courtesy of Oliver’s, Britesmith, Creekview Restaurant, Lady Bird and Marcato by Oliver’s, all part of the Schutte Hospitality Group.
This year we are pleased to welcome two incredible local Buffalo musical groups.
Starting the evening off is The Lance Tanner Duo, a jazz guitar duo steeped in the tradition of guitar greats and classic tunes. Jim Ferrantini and Marcus Deveso, have nearly three-quarters of a century of combined playing experience between them, and are proud to claim Jazz guitar legend Martin Taylor as their mentor and greatest influence. Jim and Marcus have been playing together as LTD Jazz for over a decade and are committed to innovative duo guitar arrangements over a wide variety of Jazz standards and popular tunes.They have shared the stage with Frank Vignola and Vinny Raniolo and have been honored to have produced shows for Martin Taylor, Brian Gore, Celso Machado, Mike Dawes, Frank Vignola, Vinny Raniolo, Solorazaf, Quique Sinesi, Pinot Forestiere, Andrew York, Diego Figuieredo, and Maneli Jamal.
Rounding out the evening with a spicy blend of crime jazz, surf, latin, and pop with a touch of blood and a dash of cinnamon, Carina and the Six String Preacher’s signature sound is a modern day jazz noir with a twist.
Based out of Buffalo New York, the band — formed by singer/songwriter Carina M. and guitarist/songwriter Vincent James Mastrantonio— has been independently writing, recording, and producing music and music videos since 2013. They’ve since released three albums and 10 singles, including their most recent single/music video, Stonewalls. While recording their second album “Why You So Wild, Crocodile?”, the duo began making music videos on YouTube for the new songs off their forthcoming EP. Their YouTube videos have garnered thousands of views and followers from around the world. Joined by esteemed musicians Erik Eimiller (drums) and Patrick Jackson (upright bass), the band continues to perform at some of the most renowned venues and festivals in the region.
All tickets include food and drink as well as a commemorative Belgian beer glass! General admission event tickets are $45, but a limited number of VIP tickets are available for $85, including early admission at 5:30 pm, first tasting of brews, and reserved table seating.
